Age Eligibility Calculator for Govt Exams

Enter your date of birth, pick an exam or type its age limits, set the date the notice counts age on, and choose your category. The calculator shows your exact age on that date, your upper limit after relaxation, and the range of eligible birth dates.

How the age calculator works

  1. It counts your exact age in years, months and days on the date the notice uses.
  2. It adds your category relaxation (and ex-servicemen service + 3 years) to the upper age limit.
  3. It converts the limits into the range of birth dates the notice allows: born not before (date − upper limit + 1 day) and not after (date − minimum age).

Worked example: RRB NTPC Graduate 2026

A candidate born on 15 August 2000 is 26 years, 4 months and 17 days old on 1 January 2027, the date RRB NTPC CEN 06/2026 counts age on. The limit is 18–33 years, so a General candidate must be born between 2 January 1994 and 1 January 2009 – this candidate is eligible. An OBC candidate gets 3 extra years, extending the range back to 2 January 1991.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is age counted on a fixed date?

Every notice fixes a crucial date so that all applicants are compared on the same day. Your age on the day you apply does not matter.

What is the age relaxation for OBC, SC and ST?

For central government posts: 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer), 5 years for SC and ST, and 10 years for PwBD (13 for PwBD OBC and 15 for PwBD SC/ST). States set their own rules.

SSC GD age limit kya hai?

18 to 23 years is the reported limit for SSC GD Constable 2026, counted on the date in the notice, with relaxation for reserved categories.

What is the SSC CGL age limit?

It depends on the post: 18–27, 18–30 or 18–32 years, counted on 1 August 2026 for the 2026 exam. Choose the matching option in the calculator.

How does ex-servicemen relaxation work?

For central Group C and D posts, ex-servicemen can deduct their military service plus 3 years from their actual age. Enter your years of service to apply it.

Is 18 to 27 years inclusive of 27?

Notices usually mean you must not have completed 27 years on the crucial date. For 18–27 as on 1 August 2026, that means born not before 2 August 1999 and not after 1 August 2008 – the calculator uses this rule.
